This summer saw the first ever ‘In It Together’ festival in Margam Park, Port Talbot. With names such as Noel Gallaghers High Flying Birds, Armand Van Helden, Clean Bandit and Two Door Cinema Club playing across the weekend, it was anticipated the festival would host up to 40,000 music lovers.
The festival was split into many smaller sections, including ‘The Retreat’, where our stall was situated. The Retreat was a calm corner of the festival focused on wellness and meditation. The Retreat stage had hourly acts beginning each day with early morning Yoga and continuing throughout the day with guest speakers and opportunities to join in with mindfulness exercises.
We took the opportunity to speak with passers-by about the importance of mental health and wellbeing, along with giving out leaflets and information about all our exciting projects and support we are currently offering.
Due to poor weather conditions we unfortunately had to close our stall early this year, but we are already planning to be back next year bigger and better than ever. We hope to see you there!
